I acquired Central Oil from my uncle Eddie, better known as “Scrappy,” on December 17, 1981. My son Christopher joined the business in 2003. He’s a fully-licensed driver and burner technician. Together, we practice hands-on ownership of Central Oil.
People ask about the purple thing. Here’s the answer: I look good in purple. Not a lot of people do. And I’m a big fan of Sheb Wooley’s 1958 number “Purple People Eater.” Mystery solved.
